Jessica Simpson

Jessica Simpson went from super curvy to super skinny thanks to the South Beach celebrity diet. She chose this celebrity diet when preparing for her role in The Dukes of Hazzard.

Gwyneth Paltrow

The celebrity diet of choice for Gwyneth Paltrow is the macrobiotic diet. This celebrity diet cuts out all meats, dairy and eggs. The movie star, and mother of two, no longer adheres to the strict guidelines of this celebrity diet, but still tries to eat organically.

Madonna

It’s not wonder Madonna never shows her true age. She stays healthy by following a macrobiotic diet. While this celebrity diet limits the intake of dairy, eggs, and meat, there’s no question that the celebrity diet has helped Madonna maintain her fabulous figure.

Pam Anderson

When this blond bombshell wants to slim down, she chooses organic food, and a macrobiotic celebrity diet. This celebrity diet encourages followers to eat only natural, land-grown foods.

Alicia Silverstone

Alicia Silverstone isn’t clueless when it comes to celebrity diets. She eats only organic, vegan foods. This celebrity diet has certainly worked wonders for Silverstone who lost all her extra weight, and is now slimmer than ever.

Tori Spelling

Tori Spelling turns to Sugar Busters when she needs to shed a few extra pounds. This celebrity diet cuts out bad sugars, and encourages a healthy balance. The new-mom must have turned to this celebrity diet after having her baby, Liam – she looks better, and thinner than ever.

Sharon Stone

How does sexy Sharon Stone maintain her svelte and sexy figure? She follows the celebrity diet, Sugar Busters. This celebrity diet, which cuts out refined sugars, has kept the fabulous actress looking healthy and lean.

The Zone Diet

Developed by Dr. Barry Sears, the Zone is considered a healthy lifestyle plan by its loyal users. The key element of this celebrity diet is choosing the right combination of foods. More specifically, one’s daily intake of calories should be 40% from carbohydrates, 30% from proteins, and 30% from fat. Long-term, this results in burning more fat, increasing energy levels, curbing the appetite, and losing weight.

The Zone encourages you to eat small meals at least six times a day. This programs the body’s insulin levels, and trains it to burn fat, and lose extra weight.

This celebrity diet has famous fans like Jennifer Aniston, Renee Zellweger, Elle McPherson, Sandra Bullock, Cindy Crawford, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. They have helped make the Zone a household name. While you can follow the plan on your own, by cooking Zone-friendly recipes and monitoring your intake of carbs, proteins, and fats; you can also opt to have pre-packaged Zone-approved meals and snacks delivered to your home each day. This celebrity diet makes it a great option for the movie star and the soccer mom alike.

The South Beach Diet

When Jessica Simpson had to squeeze into those itty-bitty daisy duke shorts, she turned to the South Beach Diet.

"The real secret to The South Beach Diet, is that it’s not just a diet, it’s a way to eat for life," says Dr. Agatston, creator of this star-approved plan. This celebrity diet seeks to help people differentiate between "good carbs" and "bad carbs;" "good fats" and "bad fats." Dieters are encouraged to choose whole grains, fruits and vegetables, healthy oils, and lean sources of protein.

Famous fans of this celebrity diet include Hillary and Bill Clinton, and Bette Midler.

Macrobiotic Diet

The Macrobiotic celebrity diet is based on the belief that grains should be the staple food of one’s diet. The celebrity diet plan discourages eating any processed or imported foods. Strict followers only eat natural foods that are native to the land. They think that these organic foods have a very positive effect on one’s health and well-being.

Gwyneth Paltrow used to follow a strict macrobiotic diet, which banned all eggs, dairy, and meat. While she now follows a less strict regimen, she does try to eat only organic goods. Madonna has also followed a macrobiotic diet. Other fans of a macrobiotic, raw or organic diet include Carol Alt, Alicia Silverstone, Fiona Apple, and Pamela Anderson.

Atkins Diet

This celebrity diet is one of the most well-known low-carb programs on the market. Created by Dr. Robert Atkins, it’s the most recognized program encouraging dieters to eat more protein, and less carbs and sugars. For example, an Atkins-friendly meal might even include a bacon double-cheeseburger – without the bun, of course.

Atkins involves restricting carbohydrates in order to change the body’s metabolism from burning glucose to burning stored body fat. Followers are encouraged to eat foods that are whole and unprocessed with a low glycemic load. The diet instructs that 11% of calories should come from fat.

Stars who have used this celebrity diet include Geri Halliwell, Minnie Driver, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Sugar Buster Diets

This celebrity diet claims that moderation is the key to weight loss. Since most fat on your body comes from sugar rather than fat, this diet involves eating high-fiber vegetables and whole grains, which help the digestive process and improve overall health.

Unlike other low-carb, low-sugar diets, Sugar Busters allows you to eat certain sugars and fruits; but eating refined and processed sugar is discouraged. Consuming excessive saturated fats and trans-fats is also not encouraged. Another key element to this celebrity diet is exercise.

This celebrity diet is followed by Tori Spelling and Sharon Stone.
